Tour Plan & Equipment

Tour plan jamjam Mt. Fuji Climbing from Chubu

27500 yen including lodging and guide fee。Start from Yoshida-guchi.

equipment yamanodougu rental Fuji Climbing 6-Piece Set(1 night and 2 days)

Price is10500 yen. Get a coupon for 1,000 yen off when you make a reservation at jamjam. Discounts are also available for returning the items in person to the store instead of by mail.

・Rental goods

  • Rainwear

It can also be used as a cold-weather gear.

  • Climbing shoes (socks for mountaineering will be given with rental of mountaineering gear shoes)

Climbing shoes are a must. Climbing socks are also thick, which I think helped       reduce the burden on my feet.

  • Stock

It is useful not only for the ascent but also for the descent.

This was about the right size.

  • Headlamp (with spare batteries)

Useful not only while climbing but also at the lodge.

  • Short spats

I did not use them at all. (I didn't know where to use them.)

・Things to bring

  • Small change (20~30 100 yen coins)

Toilet is 200,300 yen per visit. Bring more for peace of mind.

  • Drinks

I brought 2L and 500mL and it was just fine. It might be a good idea to bring a little water to rinse your mouth.

  • Snacks

Portable food. Food that can be eaten with one hand is good.

  • Body sheet

Can be used to wipe your body and hands. It was very good to have them.

Change of clothes

  • Change of clothes

Change of clothes for the return trip. It may be easier on the way back and on the bus if you bring a pair of normal shoes.

Lunch

Fried oyster set meal for 1,050 yen. Suruga Bay Numazu SA had a variety of restaurants including seafood, noodles, and set menus.

Things to do at the fifth station

In order to acclimate your body to the high altitude, you will have to kill some time at the fifth station before you start climbing the mountain. I will write about how to have fun at the fifth station.

※At the fifth station, it was difficult to get a cell phone signal. (Due to the terrain?).

Shopping

There are three souvenir shops. They sell snacks, drinks, T-shirts, alcohol, mountaineering goods, vajra sticks, red seal books, and other items. Red seal booklets are also sold at the summit and have different designs.

Foods and Sweets

There is a restaurant where you can eat. They also sell a variety of sweets.

Mt.Fuji Melon Pan

300 yen per piece. Credit card payment accepted. Just the right size to fill a small stomach.

Mt.Fuji Black Soft Ice Cream

600 yen per piece. I didn't know what flavor it was, but it was refreshingly sweet and might be ideal for after climbing a mountain.

Mt.Fuji Fifth Station Simple Post Office

It offers postal, deposit, withdrawal, and foreign currency exchange services. If you send a postcard here, you can have it postmarked with a landscape seal.

※Deposit and withdrawal services are not available on weekends and holidays.

Weather on Day 1

The fifth station was cloudy and cool with a temperature of about 25°. During the climb, the weather was clear and sometimes cloudy, making it easy to climb.

Scenery on the way up the mountain

6th station

Fuji cooperation fee (1,000 yen) can be paid here and at the fifth station. Payment is optional, but you will receive a wooden tag as a return gift. We recommend it because of its fashionable design.

7th station

Arrived at the Toyokan around 6:50 p.m. It began to get dark around this time, and headlights were used.

8th station Hakuunsou

Arrival at 8:30 p.m. Dinner will be served as soon as you drop off your luggage. You will also receive breakfast for the next day at dinner. The sleeping area is large enough for one adult to lie down. It was cold in the sleeping bag at night, so we went to bed around 9:30 p.m. It was not so hard up to this point. It was not so hard up to this point. It felt like a short walk.
